Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026. By using this website or placing an order, you agree to these terms. Read them carefully; they set out the rights and responsibilities of both you and AMACHAH Interiors & Hardware Ltd.

1. The contract

These terms form a contract between you (the customer) and AMACHAH Interiors & Hardware Ltd (us). They apply to everyone using the website and to every order — online, in person, or by phone.

2. Accounts

Creating an account is optional. If you do create one, you're responsible for keeping your password secure and for any activity under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

3. Orders and pricing

All prices on the site are in Kenya Shillings (KES) and include VAT where applicable. Prices and stock can change without notice — we'll confirm the final price and availability when we contact you to process your order. Submitting an order request does not, by itself, form a contract. The contract forms only once we confirm the order, agree the price + shipping with you, and you pay (or commit to pay on pickup/delivery). If we can't fulfill an order (item out of stock, price error, shipping cost prohibitive), we'll tell you and refund any deposit in full.

4. Payment

We accept M-Pesa, bank transfer (KCB, Equity, NCBA, Co-op), and cash on pickup. Online card payments may be available at checkout where enabled — they're processed by a third-party payment provider; we never see or store your card details. Full payment is required before delivery or pickup unless we've agreed credit terms in writing.

5. Delivery & risk

We deliver within Kenya. Shipping cost depends on your location and the size of the order; we'll confirm before you pay. Approximate timelines: • Nairobi metro: same-day or next business day for in-stock items. • Other counties: 2–5 business days. Risk (responsibility for the goods) passes to you on delivery or pickup. Inspect items at handover — if anything is damaged or missing, refuse the delivery or note it on the courier's docket and contact us within 24 hours.

6. Returns and warranty

Power tools, welders, and electrical equipment carry the manufacturer's warranty (typically 6–24 months depending on brand). Door locks and accessories carry a 90-day defect warranty from us directly. If a product is defective on arrival, contact us within 7 days and we'll arrange a replacement or refund. For items defective after use, we'll help process a warranty claim through the manufacturer's local service centre. We don't accept returns of items damaged through misuse, normal wear, or modifications you make after purchase. Consumables (drill bits, welding rods, wheels) are non-returnable once opened.

7. Limitation of liability

We do our best to describe products accurately, but we can't be liable for: • Use of a product outside its intended purpose. • Consequential or indirect losses (lost work time, project delays). • Damages exceeding the price you paid for the affected item. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by Kenyan law — including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

8. Intellectual property

All content on this site (logo, product photos, text, layout) is owned by AMACHAH Interiors & Hardware Ltd or used under license. You may not copy, redistribute, or scrape it for commercial purposes without written permission.

9. Acceptable use

Don't use the site to: • Submit fake orders or fraudulent payment details. • Harvest other customers' personal data. • Attempt to break our security or DoS our infrastructure. • Post abusive or unlawful content in reviews or contact forms. We reserve the right to refuse service, cancel orders, and pursue legal remedies for breach.

10. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Any dispute will be resolved by the courts of Kenya. We'd rather resolve issues amicably — try emailing us first.

11. Changes

We may update these terms occasionally — the date at the top reflects the last change. Material updates will be flagged on the site for at least 14 days before they take effect.
